This seminar brings together experts from around the world to discuss the most promising innovations in agri-food systems that promote climate resilience and food security. Based on the Avanzar2030 initiative, the event will address how innovative policies, technologies and institutions can transform food systems to be more productive, inclusive and sustainable. Participants will explore strategies to eradicate hunger and poverty, in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 1 and 2. This seminar will also highlight how Avanzar2030 directly contributes to the Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty, proposed by the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, which will be launched at the G20 Summit in 2024. The event will offer a space for the exchange of ideas, knowledge and experiences to strengthen international collaboration in the fight against climate change and food insecurity, with a special focus on Latin America, the Caribbean and other developing countries.
